Over the weekend I decided to head over to Disneyland. It’s not a location that fits with some of my recent travels. But every now and then I enjoy visiting the Magic Kingdom. I’m not much for rides these days though. I enjoy walking around and enjoying the park. Thought spending almost an hour in line for a ride isn’t something I like to do these days. Actually, for this particular visit I wanted to see the Main Street Electrical Parade. The last time I saw that parade was when I was a child. So when I heard that it was back for the season I felt compelled to see it again.
But I had quite a lot of time to spend before the parade even started. So naturally I walked around the park and enjoyed the sights and sounds of each world. When I was leaving Frontierland and making my way to Tomorrowland I decided to get some shots of Cinderella’s Castle. There was a marching band performing so it was tough to get a clean shot of the front. Then again it’s always tough. So I decided to grab a shot of one of the character statues with the castle behind it. And as you can see, I chose Minnie Mouse. She was obviously more than delighted to have guests at the park. So why not grab a shot of such a hospitable host?
Delighted To Relive Some Magic
Despite not going on many rides there’s still plenty to do. As I mentioned I just enjoy walking around. I don’t visit Disneyland often but when I do that’s exactly what I do. I walk around from land to land enjoying the magic. It’s fun recalling some childhood memories while I’m there. So much has changed since I was a kid. But on the other hand so much has been retained and preserved. I’m still on a quest to get an ideal photograph of Cars Land over in California Adventure. And you can bet that I’ll get that shot at some point. I don’t know if it will happen this year though. But if I feel like reliving my childhood again I’ll visit again without hesitation.
