The sun can feel pretty harsh out in the deserts of California. Not all of the time. But during certain times of year it can downright be dangerous. On the other hand the sun can also provide some beautiful light. Not to mention the warmth it can give during colder days. In any event when I was last in the Eastern Sierra the sun gave me a little bit of everything. It was pretty hot in the afternoon. And as it got closer to the sunset and the air became colder the sun felt pretty good. And as a bonus it gave me some beautiful light to play with for photography. That’s when I decided to take this shot.
I shot this with my backup camera because to be perfectly honest I value it just as much as my main. Actually I treasure whatever camera I have because without a camera I wouldn’t be able to take photos. Anyways I probably should get back out there before the Summer hits. The weather has bee pretty cool lately. And there have been clouds floating around California so it could make for some fun shoots. Hopefully I can get back out there soon. And if the weather is right perhaps I’ll even take my bike out there for a bit of desert riding. Only time will tell at this point. Either way I’ll have my camera charged and ready to shoot.
Photography With Anything That Shoots
I mentioned briefly that I enjoy whatever camera I have. And with technology advancing the way it is cell phone cameras have become excellent for photos. Some may have noticed that I’m posting a lot from my phone these days. Not because I don’t have regular camera shots. Because I do shoot quite a bit. But I’ve just been in the mood to share what I get from the lens of my phone. I might step that up a bit and get back to my photography roots. After all I did start with a cell phone camera. And I do enjoy it so I would like to get back to that. Stay tuned here to see if I follow through with that. In any even I’ll have a photo up each day as usual.
