Lately I’ve been shooting with nothing but my Sony RX1R and processing the RAW files on my iPhone. Having RAW support on a mobile device has been really nice. It makes it easy to process on the go if I so chose to. This time I decided to hang around Glendale, California to enjoy some good food. And as it turned out the sky was pretty good too. While exploring one of the parking lots I spotted this elevator area with this balcony railing. The view below wasn’t great but the view of Downtown Los Angeles was pretty neat. Of course with only a 35mm lens on this camera I couldn’t get any kind of compression. But I liked how DTLA was far in the distance. Staring at it from this balcony gave me a feeling of wanting adventure again. Venturing out to a far location. That kind of feeling. Something is coming up soon. Until then I’ll continue to stir my imagination with scenes like this.
