While walking around the Shinjuku district in Tokyo earlier this year with some fellow photographers, we passed through Golden Gai and by Shinjuku Station on our way towards the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building, we chose to cross over one of the many pedestrian overpasses in the city. Each pedestrian bridge seems to provide such an interesting view of some of the city and this one was no different. One thing I found quite interesting about this passage was the lack of cars coming towards me. As can be seen, cars were on the side of the street going away, but the other side of the road was simply empty. I’m so used to seeing so much vehicle traffic on this road that it almost looked odd considering the time of day. This was on a Saturday too! On my next visit I’ll be sure to setup here at night for some interesting long exposures.
