After having some lunch with my dear friend +Yumi Shoji, I headed to Omiya Station to make my way back to Tokyo. After shooting around the area and waiting for my train to arrive I looked across the way at the other commuters queuing up to wait for their train headed in the opposite direction. That’s when it occurred to me that this looked like a Dave Powell type of shot. If you’re not familiar with Dave, head over to his site ShootTokyo.com and you’ll see what I mean. So naturally I lifted my camera and took this shot of the scene in front of me. It’s quite a common scene in Japan to see people filing in line neatly while waiting for the train. I’ll have to be sure to keep my eye open at platforms like this because it’s also a good way to spot some interesting characters to shoot. He he.
