Time to sleep

Time to sleep Time to sleep

With a lot of my friends and family partying pretty hard over the holiday break, a lot of them have been virtually knocked out over the last day or two. From last minute Christmas shopping, to hosting parties, then staying up all night to celebrate the New Year, they are just wiped out. This reminded me of these couple of guys that I ran into at the Takashimaya Store in Shinjuku, Japan. After having dinner with +Yumi Shoji at a restaurant called Katsukura (which, BTW, has some of the best tonkatsu I’ve ever had) we made our way back down to the ground floor of the mall to get back outside to enjoy the crisp night air. When we finally made it to the ground floor we spotted these two guys. They were absolutely knocked out. They were so still, not responding to any sound around them that I had to try grabbing this shot. I shot this with a 50mm on a full frame lens, so I stepped up to shoot this, and while shooting the guy closest to me started spilling over the pillow. You’ll be happy to know that he never did fall off. Him and his buddy just kept on sleeping. So for those of you that are completely exhausted, let this be a reminder that there’s never a bad time or place to take a nap. Just don’t stay asleep too long because the year has just started! icon wink Time to sleep
