Whenever I decide to visit Odaiba in Tokyo, Japan, I usually opt to take a nice relaxing boat ride from here, the Tokyo Cruise building in Asakusa. The ride takes passengers along the Sumida River all the way to Odaiba. It’s a great way to see a different side of the city while enjoying the refreshing ocean air. And if I have extra cash, I like to take the non-stop ride on the Himiko, a futuristic looking vessel that looks like it could go underwater. It’s a very neat boat and even has the crew of the Galaxy Express 999 as audio tour guides pointing out each and every point of interest along the route. Each time I’ve gone there’s always been a line. They haven’t been too bad on most occasions, but my advice is to get there a little early so that there’s no delay on boarding a ship.
