Sometimes the more interesting things that I’ve found while out and among nature is something undoubtedly left by man or woman. In the case of this image I came across this knit cap beanie that was left behind. It looked as though the plant had purposely put it on in order to keep itself warm in the cold. Granted, I’m sure this plant would have much rather stayed out there without any caps, but it seemed like a fun scene to me which is why I snapped this photograph. I didn’t think to remove it at the time because I thought perhaps the owner would come back for it. It’s been a while so I’m sure that beanie is long gone, regardless of whether or not the owner reclaimed it, but wouldn’t it be even more interesting if it were still there? I’ll have to hike up there soon just to see if I can find this particular plant. And maybe I’ll even find even more interesting things out there. Something that compliments the scene or makes it fun. Hopefully no litter though because whenever I see a plastic bottle or candy wrapper in places like this, it’s rather disappointing that folks would still toss their trash so carelessly. But anyways, that’s a talk for another time.
