This is the Nature’s Berth by Anne Oshman. It’s one of many sculptures along the waterfront walkway at the Port of San Diego. This is a part of the Urban Trees Exhibition and statues that are a part of the exhibit are spaced all the way along the walkway. All of the statues look just great, but this one in particular caught my eye. It was positioned really well with no buildings or ships blocking it from the sun, which really worked well considering how the flower was designed to sparkle. And of course with a neat little spiral and a giant butterfly, how could I not be attracted to it? ;-P If you ever find yourself in the Port of San Diego, take a walk along the walkway and check out all of the art, they’re very cool and a joy to see.
