As of late I've made my bicycle and the Metrolink train my primary way of commuting to and from work. I'm enjoying it for many reasons. The obvious being that I'm not sitting in traffic. I also get to put in some miles on my bike on a daily basis. And definitely not least is being able to ride a train consistently. So with that I've been able to visually scout several of the train stations along my route. They're simple stations. Some are nothing but platforms. But they each provide a great view of the tracks. So when some Summer clouds drifted in I walked myself to the local station for some photography. No tripods. No full pack. Just me and my Sony RX1R. Because it was pretty late in the evening I had the platform all to myself. Giving me a chance to walk up and down looking for a fun composition for sunset. And when the colors popped I managed to take this shot. I'd like to take more shots of the platforms along my route. But I think I'll be patient and wait for conditions like this. Because if I can get a similar sky again, then it would only help me find some interesting compositions of those platforms.
