I’ve been planning a return to Japan. It has been way too long since I’ve been back. So I think it’s about time I changed that. And if this image is any indication I’m aiming for the Spring. Specifically the Sakura season. I’ve been talking to my friends and loved ones there trying to set a schedule to meet. A schedule to shoot. And a schedule to eat. On a side note, that rhyme was unintended and sounds cheesy. But I like it so it stays. Ha.
Unfortunately some recent events have altered that plan. I may not make it for the Spring at all. But I’m still hopeful. Outside of California I feel most at home in Japan. So to be away from there for so long is quite literally like having a needle through my heart. Dramatic I know. But I just really miss being there. But if things work out like I hope they will I’ll still make it for the Spring. And if not then I’ll definitely be there in the Summer. After all my first visit ever was during the Summer. So it would be fun to reconnect with the festivals and fireworks during the season.
And when I do return I’ll undoubtedly spend quality time with one of my closest friends on this Earth. Yumi. It’s her special day today and though I can’t be there to celebrate in person, I hope that this greeting puts a smile on her face. Of course I’ve already talked to her. But because we met through photography, through this blog as a matter of fact, I like to add a little greeting for her each year. So enjoy your special day Yumi. I’ll see you sooner than later.
Let’s hope for sooner. 😉
