One morning I managed to get up pretty early. So instead of turning over and going back to sleep I decided to hit the road with my trusty bike. With the heat coming in strong this week I figured it would be best to get my ride in while the air was still nice and cool. I decided to head over to Griffith Park to make some short climbs and as I crossed this bridge leading into the park, I noticed how great the sun looked rising behind some morning clouds. So I stopped and grabbed this shot with my trusty phone. It was a great way to start the day and I must say it was great to be able to start it on my bike and not in a car trudging to an office. He he. It’s a scene like this that makes me glad to wake up in time for the sunrise. I’m typically an early bird, but there are definitely times when it’s nice to sleep in, especially on a cold day during the Winter, but whenever I’m up and out to catch the sunrise, I’m reminded that it’s a much better idea to wake up early. Not only do you get that early start to the day to do whatever it is you have to do in the day, but I also feel much more energetic when I can get up at my usual time. I’m sure I’ll have to stock up on arm and leg warmers for these morning rides as the Fall approaches, but it’ll be worth it just to be out and enjoy a fun morning like this.
